Must have completed The Rear Guard of Loccaris to proceed with this Scenario.
You run back into Morlnik and leap onto the carriage, grabbing a hold of the reigns before snapping them hard to move the horse into motion. The carnage and destruction brought about by the demons from Loccaris is great and you are motivated to end their tyranny. You ride hard toward your next destination, seeing the herd of demons marching toward a very small village in the distance.
You make haste and make it the village too late, finding the demons still their wreaking havoc on the few inhabitants there. You look on as a very large demon, one larger than the other ones you have encountered, is swinging a large sword and decapitating anyone who comes near him. An elderly lady, possibly the village elder, is cast aside with her head severed while a few smaller children look on in fear.
You run toward the children as the larger demon takes notice. You leap in front of the children before the demon can raise his sword and harm them.
Commence Battle with Lesser Demon Commander
The commander drops to one knee while using the tip of his sword to hold himself up. He looks at you as you stand before him and snarls while remaining defiant. You walk forward and ram your weapon into his chest as he screams in agony. His body fades away into dust and you’re left looking at the only thing that this demon has left, some rusty armor and a large sword.

Behind the children, you see a soldier, wearing the same crest across his chest as the man from earlier. He stands up slowly, trying his best to regain his footing before addressing you. “Adventurers, you must go back. You must head to the Turgraad Quarry and close portal, lest the soldiers of Loccaris continue reinforce their positions.” He pauses for a moment before reaching onto his neck and ripping off a medallion. "Here, take this. It's been in my families for years but I feel you need this a lot more than I," he says before presenting you necklace with a small, glowing, green stone in it.

He’s breathing heavily while looking down at the children. “The forces of the Confederation of Small Kingdoms will defend Werz to the death, but they will not stand a chance if the forces of Loccaris are able to continuously fortify their ranks. Please, you must go and lock the gate in the Turgraad Quarry.”
